Indian Navy Employment NewsIndian Navy released employment notification in www.nausena-bharti.nic.in. It is inviting online applications from unmarried male and female Indian citizens for grant of Permanent Commission in Naval Armament Inspection Cadre (NAIC) of Executive Branch and Education Branch and SSC in Logistic / Works Cadre. The courses are commencing at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala from June 2014 and notification is published regarding this in employment news and in www.nausena-bharti.nic.in. The last date to apply online is 25th October, 2013.

Naval Armament Inspection Cadre (NAIC) of Executive Branch (Men Only)

Permanent Commission
Age Limit: 19 ½ years to 25 years
Educational Qualifications: B.E / B.Tech. in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical or Post Graduation in Electronics / Physics

Indian Navy Education Branch (Men Only):

Permanent Commission
Age Limit: 21 to 25 years

Indian Navy Logistics / Works Cadre (Men and Women candidates)

Short Service Commission
Age Limit: 19 ½ years to 25 years
Educational Qualifications
Logistics: B.Com / M. Com / B.A / M.A / BBA / MBA / BBM / BCA / MCA / B.Sc. IT / M.Sc. IT / B.E / B.Tech. / Materials Management degree or P.G Diploma / ICWA / C.A
Works: B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or B.Arch.
Nausena Bharti Physical Standards: Height 157 cm. for men and 152 cm. for women with correlated weight.

Indian Navy Job Application Process

Candidates keeping passion in Indian Navy jobs shall have to visit “officer entry” link in www.nausena-bharti.nic.in to apply online. The registration starts from 7th October to 25th October, 2013. After applying online the candidate should take two print outs of application and sent one copy duly signed in along with credentials to “Post Box No-4, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi – 110021" by 4thNovember, 2014.

Selection Process of SSC and Permanent Commissioned Officers in Indian Navy

Depending upon the qualificationsthe candidates are called for Stage-1 i.e. Intelligence tests, Picture Perception, and GD. Upon clearing stage-1 the candidate have to attend for Stage-2 which comprises Psychological Test, Group Test and Interview. Successful candidates will have to undergo for medical examination and thereafter merit list is finally prepared.

Pay Scale and Promotion of Commissioned Officers in Indian Navy

Upon successful completion of Naval Orientation Course at Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, the candidate will be placed as Sub-Lieutenant in pay scale –Rs.15600 – 39100 with grade pay 5400. What is Indian Navy Short Service Commission and what is it’s initial posting?

Short Service Commission is a 10 year service period (extendable up to 14 years) as officers in Indian Navy. Candidates qualify in this examination will be inducted as officers under Short Service Commission. His initial post will be as Sub Lieutenant (SLt) in scale 15600 – 39100 + GP 5400 + MSP 6000 and he may reach up to Commander (PB-4/37400 - 67000 + GP 8000 + MSP 6000) Level by the end of his tenure. He is entitled for gratuity and other benefits as per extent rules after completion of his tenure. A person joined as Short Service Commission officer in Indian Navy will not be given extension beyond 14 years. Details of this course can be found in website www.nausena-bharti.nic.in.
