KMC Recruitment 2013 Details

About Employer: Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), established in the year 1876, is responsible for the maintenance of administration and infrastructure of the city Kolkata. “Sovan Chatterjee”, the Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Kolkata is handling a team of 37829 staff members which provides the necessary civil services to the citizens of Kolkata such as education, health services, purification and proper water supply, building and maintenance of roads, streets, flyovers, parks etc. Despite of all these services KMC is also responsible for street lighting, disease control, sewage treatment and disposal, registering births and deaths, conserve heritage sites and many more such services. Kolkata city has total 141 administrative wards and Kolkata Municipal Corporation is the most efficient, effective and responsible organization that delivers all the quality services to its citizens.
  
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation is conducting the competitive exam in the city Kolkata for the various following. The eligible and interested candidates may apply by filling the application form.

The number of vacancies available is 10 which are distributed as per the different categories of posts.

Age Limit: The upper age limit for the Junior Assistant, Clerk, Data Asst & Typist post is 40 years, 32 years for remaining posts.


The eligibility criteria are strictly set as per the instructions and policies of the company and it will not be changed in any case.

Selection Procedure

The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of  various tests and interview performance. These test will be of three types 1. Preliminary Test 2. Written Test & Skill Test. The written exam is multiple choice questions based and the second exam will be written-conventional type questions. After qualifying in the tests you will be called for the interview and on the basis of your performance you will be finally recruited. 

How to Apply

The candidates who want to appear in the exam have to fill the application form first and post it to the given address in the working days. The application fee is Rs. 150 and processing charges are Rs. 50 which has to be deposit to A/C No. 0088050006491 in any of the branch of United Bank of India. There is no application fee for SC, ST and PH category candidates but processing fee will be applicable for all. The photocopies of certificates related to age, caste, qualification, and experience are must with application form and the form will not be accepted without that.
