Pay Scale : Rs. 9300 to 34800 with Grade Pay 4200
Age Limit : 18 to 27 years
Academic Qualifications: 10+2 or equivalent and Stenography 100 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ &’D’ respectively
SSC Stenographers Exam Offline Application Process:
Candidates willing to apply for the above Stenographer Jobs should have to pay a sum of Rs.100/- examination fee in the form of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) which are available in the post offices. Application forms can be downloaded from staff selection commission’s website: ssc.nic.in. After filling the application form carefully and completing all formalities these should be submitted or sent along with required copies of documents to the respective Staff Selection Commission Regional Offices on or before the closing date 26th October, 2013. Candidates should send their applications to the respective addresses where they wish to appear their examination centre.
SSC Stenographers Exam Online Application Process:
There 2 steps in Staff Selection Commission Stenographers exam 2013 online applicationprocess. Candidate should register for part-1 with his basic details on or before 24th October. After registration he has to download the registration form with number. He should pay the fee using this form in any branches of State Bank of India. There after he can finish the part-2 registration process by 26th October, 2013. These registrations can be done through website www.ssconline.nic.in.
Selection Process:
The selection process of Stenographers (Grade-C & D) Examination 2013 is quite typical. It consists of two parts Written Test (Objective Type) and Skill Test.

Syllabus for SSC Stenographers Exam
General Intelligence & Reasoning:
Questions of verbal and non-verbal type come in this written test. It comprises of analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc.
General Awareness:
Questions usually come related to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc.
English Language & Comprehension:
In addition to the testing of candidates' understanding of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. his / her writing ability, would also be tested.
Skill Test: at the @ 100 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m. for Grade-“D” and “C” respectively
